Volvik Ranks as #2 Ball in Prize Money Earned on 2014 LPGA Tour
Ranks #1 in Money Earned Per Ball in Play of Top 5 Most Played Golf Ball Manufacturers
Volvik is the #2 ranking manufacturer in prize money earned on the 2014 LPGA Tour, with professionals using their ultra-high performance balls earning $3.7 Million, according to the Darrell Survey. All of their golf balls played on the 2014 LPGA Tour were color golf balls.
With 223 Volvik golf balls in play this season, the amount of money earned on the 2014 LPGA Tour averaged $16,989 per golf ball in play. That is the highest average of prize money earned per ball in play than any of the Top 5 most played golf ball manufacturers on the 2014 LPGA Tour.
Volvik bested the next closest manufacturer in the Top 5 of golf ball usage on the 2014 LPGA Tour by over $4,300 per ball.
"These numbers show that players using Volvik earned more money per golf ball in play than all of the other Top 5 most played manufacturers by a large margin," said Don Shin, President of Volvik USA. The fact that we averaged more money earned per ball in play and that we were the #2 highest earning prize money ball while being the #4 most played golf ball really shows that we are all about performance. We had 5 players rank in the Top 30 of the CME Race to the Globe standings to end the season. All of them have experienced significant gains in their rankings and money earned since switching to Volvik golf balls."
In 2014 on the LPGA Tour, Volvik had 223 total instances of professionals using their Vista golf balls in tournament play (84 Orange, 71 Yellow, 64 Pink, 3 Green).
