Hannah Yun Wins Volvik Championship, Inaugural Event Receives Rave Reviews

Orlando, FLA - Symetra Tour player Hannah Yun won the inaugural Volvik Championship Sept. 22 after shooting 15 under par at the Palmer Course at Reunion Resort. The victory was Yun's first ever professional victory.

The former University of Florida Gator moved from No. 48 on the Volvik Race for the Card to No. 18 with one event remaining, the Symetra Tour Championship which took place this weekend.

“I have had the most fun these past few months than I have probably had since I was a little kid,” said Yun. “It’s nice because that’s the reason why I started playing golf and it’s nice just to be able to have fun playing on the course and put in the work and to see that it’s working.”

Volvik is the official golf ball of the Symetra Tour and is also the sponsor of the Volvik Race for the Card, where the Top 10 players on the Symetra Tour money list earn their LPGA Tour cards for the following season. At every Symetra Tour event, the driving range is covered in Volvik's colorful high-performance 3-piece and 4-piece golf balls for all Symetra Tour players to practice with. Over 20 players are using Volvik colored golf balls on the 2013 Symetra Tour. Volvik players have now earned two Victories, eight Top 10 finishes and 20 Top 25 finishes so far in 2013.

A total of 87 players have automatically "graduated” to the LPGA Tour since 1999.
