Ilhee Lee Earns Best Finish Ever on LPGA Playing Volvik
"It felt good to be in contention on Sunday, I felt really good about my performance," said Lee. "Volvik has been a huge part of my game. The ball did everything I wanted it to. It was straight off the tee and the spin on approach shots was very important all week."
Lee's previous best finish on the LPGA Tour was a T4 finish at the 2012 U.S Women's Open, also with a Yellow Vista. Fellow Volvik staff player Chella Choi earned her fourth Top 25 of the year in Virginia finishing T17 using an Orange Vista 4-piece golf ball.
The two Top 25 finishes at the LPGA Kingsmill Championship extended Volvik's streak of Top 25 finishes on the LPGA Tour to seven straight events. In the last seven LPGA Tour events, players using Volvik colored golf balls have earned six Top 10 finishes and 15 Top 25 finishes. Ten players in the field at Kingsmill Resort were playing Volvik golf balls.
