Volvik Staff Player Phatlum First Ever to Play Color Golf Ball at Olympics

Volvik staff player Pornanong Phatlum competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics and finished T25th for her home country of Thailand. She was the first ever golfer to play a color golf ball at the Olympics, putting herself and Volvik in the history books with her signature Pink Volvik S3 tour-premium golf ball at all 4 days of the event.

The 26-year-old from Chaiyaphum, Thailand is the 37th ranked player in the world and currently ranks 22nd on the LPGA Tour’s Race to the CME Glove standings. She has a runner-up finish and three Top finishes on the LPGA Tour this year. Phatlum now has 4 LPGA Tour runner-up finishes with her Volvik golf ball, but is still chasing her first ever LPGA Tour win.

In addition to winning the Thailand LPGA Masters in each of the last three years, Phatlum set a Ladies Asian Golf Tour record as the first player to win five times - Hong Kong Open (2006), Women's India Open (2008, 2009 and 2012) and Thailand Ladies Open (2008). She also won the LPGA Tour’s Brazil Cup in 2012, an unofficial money event.
