Bright colors dot desert landscape: The flashiest golf ball at the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup came from Volvik, which used the tournament to announce its goal of proving that colored golf balls can offer high performance.

Volvik colored balls were used by 10 players. Jee Young Lee, who held the 36-hole lead, finished in the top five with an orange Volvik. That feat was duplicated by Lindsey Wright, also known as Ms. Orange. Meanwhile, Pornanong Phatlum used a pink Volvik. The balls are sold in the United States in four colors: yellow, green, orange and pink.
