Victoria Elizabeth Wins SunCoast Tour Event with Vista iV

(Orlando, FLA) - LPGA Tour player Victoria Elizabeth won the SunCoast Ladies Series Metrowest Golf Club event January 17 using three different color Volvik Vista iV golf balls in each round. Elizabeth played with a pink golf ball in round one, an orange golf ball in round two and a green golf ball in round three.

"To our knowledge, this is the first time someone has won an event using three different colored golf balls in the same event," said President of Volvik USA Don Shin. "Victoria decided she wanted to play a different color every day with our Vista iV golf ball and in her first event trying it, she won. She's helping us start a color golf ball revolution."

Elizabeth shot 69-67-72 to win the mini-tour event that she was using as a tune-up for her rookie LPGA Tour season. It was her second victory with a Volvik golf ball, the first coming on the 2012 Symetra Tour. Two other players using Volvik Vista 4-piece golf balls finished in the Top 10 of the MetroWest tournament. Volvik staff players Jee Young Lee finished T5 at the event and Jeong Jang finished T7.  Seven total LPGA Tour players were playing in the Orlando based event.

The 20-year-old Elizabeth finished 3rd on the final Symetra Tour money list with $46,565, securing her 2013 LPGA Tour card. She used a Volvik 4-piece Vista golf ball all season and ended the season with two runner-up positions and  five Top 10 finishes. After two years on the Symetra Tour finishing 42nd in 2011 and 69th in 2010, Elizabeth propelled to the No. 3 position and her best ever stats after making the switch to the Volvik golf ball.

Volvik is the official golf ball of the Symetra Tour and the title sponsor of the LPGA's Race for the Card. 2013 marks the first year since the Volvik Race for the Card was implemented in 1999 that 15 players receive fully exempt LPGA Tour cards. A total of 20 players played Volvik color balls on the Symetra Tour in 2012.

"You could not ask for a better spokesperson, or even a better person for that matter, than Victoria," said Shin. "She's a wonderful young talent and one of the best people you could find to represent your company. We are extremely proud to have her on the Volvik team."

Elizabeth will be at Volvik's Booth signing autographs at 3:30 pm January 25 at Booth #1751 at the PGA Merchandise Show, where Volvik is making their official launch to the US market.
